What Are Dwarfs?

A dwarf is a nature spirit whose “job” is to guard the natural physical world, particularly Mother Earth’s precious metals, stones, and crystals. They live in caves or in the dark recesses in the ground, so encounters with them are quite rare.

And because they’re more comfortable in the dark, and their eyes are sensitive to light, they hardly come out during the daytime.

A dwarf is often depicted as an old, ugly, bearded creature with human features. To me, they’re not ugly at all. Now they’re not “pretty” in the same sense as fairies, who radiate lightness and brightness, but they’re magnificent beings.

A dwarf has an aura that is much like the energy of a mountain. Heavy, but also grounded, full of strength, and possessing deep wisdom.

This is why, when dwarfs take on a physical form, they look stocky and burly with a hardened, wizened look. They can also be hard to see because they can easily blend with their background, the same way that flower fairies can easily hide in a bed of flowers.

And, just like all other beings, they have their own individual personalities and temperaments, too. So it’s not quite accurate to say that they’re mean or cranky. The ones I encountered are usually quite shy and elusive, but they certainly weren’t grumpy or rude.

Contrary to popular belief, dwarfs don’t normally wield pick axes, nor do they mine gold and diamonds. They’re guardians and caretakers of the earth, and their primary concern is the growth of stalactites and stalagmites found in caves, and the transition of elements to precious stones.

Dwarfs Are Experts To Consult When Working With Gemstones

Because they’re the true experts when it comes to the earth’s mineral wealth, they’re the spirits to consult with when you’re working with crystals and gemstones.

Gemstones and crystals have mystical powers and healing properties that can aid you in many ways. For example, clear quartz can be used for releasing, and amplifying energy, for balancing the body’s energy centers (chakras), and for enhancing psychic abilities, among many others.
