Are Repeating Life Patterns Echoes of Your Past Lives?
I have noticed that many of the people I read for have problems related to repeating life patterns.
Why do these repeating life patterns happen? Those in the health care industry have stated for a long time that life patterns are learned behavior, and they get repeated because of a psychological imbalance in a person.
But I believe the reason is more psychic in nature, and it has to do with reincarnation and past lives.
The Nature of Life Patterns
Life patterns are observable sets of behavior that are often strange to a casual observer. They are strange because such behavior is something that clearly puts the one doing them at a disadvantage.
For example, if you gamble once and win a more than an average amount, it wouldn’t be surprising if you decided to gamble again. You’d probably be thinking, or hoping, that there would be a repeat of your lucky win.
However, the possibilities are high that you would lose. The expected behavior after encountering a loss would be to try again, if you still had money to bet. On the other hand, if you lose repeatedly after your initial win, then the expected behavior would be for you to give up and stop betting, even if only for a day or two.
But in real life, this is not what usually happens.
Gamblers who risk their money want to win badly. When they don’t, they keep on trying until they lose all their money.
Does losing all their money make them permanently stop gambling?
No. In fact, the continued losses only spur them to gamble some more, even though they also continue to lose.
Such kind of behavior is a good example of a life pattern. In essence, a pattern is a design or template that serves as a guide. Therefore, a life pattern is a guide for behavior, even when the behavior is self-destructive.
The Difference between Life Patterns and Repeating Life Patterns
It seem unnecessary to mention the word “repeating” and “patterns” together, because they are commonly understood to be the same.
But as far as life is concerned, this thinking doesn’t necessarily apply.
Repeating life patterns that happen in your present lifetime, have also happened in your previous lives. That’s why they’re called repeating patterns.
The Reasons Behind Living A Negative Life Pattern
- Negative life patterns happen because it is a part of your soul script.
In previous posts, I’ve discussed soul scripts, or the agreements you make with other souls before you reincarnate. The details of your soul script includes what you’ll experience, whom you’ll experience it with, etc.
Some souls decide to experience a certain situation repeatedly. For example, if you are now in a relationship that is unfulfilling, and you were in previous relationships that were also unfulfilling, I am sure that at some point you will have asked yourself “Why am I always falling for those who do not fulfill me?”
The answer is simple. You need to learn a life lesson.
One of the reasons you keep on repeating the experience of a certain situation is you haven’t learned that lesson yet. You keep on reincarnating so that you may live out the same situation, until you finally learn what you need to learn.
In the example given above about the person who keeps on getting together with unfulfilling partners, a possible lesson would be learning to developing self-esteem.
The lesson could also be needing to learn and understand what love truly means. I have had clients tell me they put up with the unfulfilling relationships because they love their partner.
I often explain to them that it’s important to discover what fulfilling love truly means, before their souls can develop.
Unfulfilling elements in your life do not happen by accident, especially if you are experiencing repeated life patterns.
Even if you are not fully aware that you are a reincarnated soul, there will always be hints about the lessons you need to learn. These hints take the form of repeated patterns that you experience.
- Repeated patterns happen because you need to pay a karmic debt.
Karmic debt occurs when your karma is not balanced. Imbalanced karma means that there is more energy on the negative side.
Everything in the universe is made up of energy. Your words, your actions, your attitudes, and even your thoughts – they are all made of energy.
This is why one of the great universal teachings is,when you think of something, it is already the same as doing it.
Such a teaching is taught by the Buddha, who said “All that we are is the result of what we have thought: it is founded on our thoughts and made up of our thoughts. If a man speak or act with an evil thought, suffering follows him as the wheel follows the hoof of the beast that draws the wagon… If a man speak or act with a good thought, happiness follows him like a shadow that never leaves him.”
This shows that if you harbored negative thoughts against others in a past lifetime, and you were not able to balance your karma by not righting your wrongs before you died, then you would have incurred karmic debt.
Souls that have karmic debt reincarnate as long as it is necessary for them to finally balance their debt.
This is the second reason repeating life patterns happen. Your repeating life patterns are simply echoes of your past lives.
If you’d like to know more about your past lives, and what kind of karmic debts you have, you can get in touch with me for a psychic reading and I’ll be happy to help you.
